Trust The Journey Academy is committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and empowering educational environment for students with disabilities. We welcome applications from families seeking individualized, strengths-based academic instruction and developmental support for their child.


Enrollment is based on alignment with our mission, availability of services, and the ability to appropriately meet the needs of the student within our current resources.

How to Apply for Admission

Families interested in enrolling their child at Trust The Journey Academy must follow the steps outlined below:


Step 1: Complete the Admissions Application Form


  • Fill out the Admissions Application, available online at trust-the-journey.org, download the admissions form from the website and email the completed application to admissions@trust-the-journey.org, or mail to the address listed below.


  • Be sure to include accurate contact information and details about your child’s educational and developmental history.

Applications may be submitted:

  • Online via secure upload at trust-the-journey.org

  • By email: admissions@trust-the-journey.org

  • By mail to: Trust The Journey Academy, PO Box 317, Valley City, OH 44280


Step 2: Application Review


Once your application is received, a team member will review it and contact you within 3–7 business days to:

  • Confirm receipt

  • Request additional documentation if needed

  • Discuss next steps, including a potential family meeting, student observation, or records review


Step 3: Submit Required Documents


Once your application review is complete, we will request the required documents (not the full list):

  • Copy of the student’s Birth Certificate

  • Proof of Residency (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement)

  • Any available IEP, 504 Plan, or recent evaluations (if applicable)


Step 4: Enrollment Decision


If your child’s enrollment is approved, you will receive:

  • An official Acceptance Notification

  • A Welcome Packet including required forms, medical documentation requests, and important school policies


Finalizing Enrollment


Enrollment is confirmed when all completed forms from the Welcome Packet are returned and reviewed. You will then be contacted to schedule your child’s start date and orientation.
